Orange Line Hits the Studio

We’ve been working hard at releasing a 10 song album for a while now, and it’s finally coming to fruition. It is a completely self-done project from start to finish. Written, recorded, and produced by us in the band, and only us. However, next month we’re hitting the studio with Scott Spelbring (Jason Mraz) and our friend Pedro Seminario out at Dragonfly Studio. We’ve still been writing new material in the interim and are really looking forward to hearing how our tunes will sound when tracked and produced by 3rd parties!

Our song choice is a tune called “Grace.” We have some interesting footage to show you eventually, we’ve been capturing the songwriting process from conception to completion. Hopefully we’ll release a video retelling the creation soon for everyone to check out.

Keep checking back for news on this, until then, rock on.

17 Hour Days

Hey everybody. Mike the drummer here. Just getting off work at 12:37am, having started the day the previous 7:50am. Although in theory I’m not opposed to working these kinds of hours, I’d really prefer to be doing so as a drummer and band member, rather than an AV programmer.

This is me, really late at night.

With this in mind, I humbly ask everyone to please pay close attention to OrangeLine in the coming months, as we will be playing out more often and very soon selling our debut album!! T’will be available as a CD purchase online, downloadable via Itunes et al, and of course at shows and from Ben’s trunk-de-scion.

Please please support your local OrangeLine band (that’s us) and help make it possible for us dayjob wage slaves to quickly ween ourselves off the teets of golden handcuffs!!

Now I am tired and sleepy.

G’night.

Truckin’ Along

All of us have been keeping pretty busy with Judo Chop nonsense, but worry not; we’re getting back onto the Orange Line right quick! We have all 10 tracks available for listening on this site already, but we’re tweaking them a little bit and hope to have them for sale on iTunes soon! After we do that, perhaps it’s back into the studio again? Hopefully some shows too. Keep checking back for news!

Website Facelift

After many weeks of not updating the news page for TakeTheOrangeLine.com, we began asking ourselves, “what is it about the process of updating the site that makes us not want to do it?” The initial design was pretty cumbersome… and it was my fault. I’m not a programmer — I’m a guy with a little knowledge and a will to make things work!!
